Deuteronomy 2:14 And the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the Valley of the Zered was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the LORD had sworn to them.

How long was Israel wandering in the wilderness?

Some might say, well, it was, it was 40 years. It was, but it's always important as you read Scripture to pay attention to the details of Scripture. Israel did wander in the wilderness 40 years from the time they left Egypt until the time they entered the Promised Land. But there period of, if we were technical, wandering, was 38 years.

Notice Deuteronomy chapter two verse 14 and the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the valley of the Zered was thirty-eight years until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the Lord had sworn to them.
